Getting security token

To get the security token for your salesforce account follow these steps:

1-      Go to your mailbox for the email address associated with your Salesforce account, and search for the latest email received from: “support@salesforce.com” then locate the email with the last security token. Copy the token and paste it into your new AbstraLinx connection (without appending it to your password).

2-      If you cannot find the security token in your mailbox, you must reset it to receive a new one.

a.      Log in to your Salesforce org using your credentials

b.      Navigate to the top user menu and go to your name > Settings > My Personal information > Reset My Security Token

c.       Click on Reset Security Token

d.      The new security token will be sent to you at your mailbox associated with your Salesforce account

e.      Open this email, and then carefully copy the Security Token value

f.       Use the security token when you create a new connection between AbstraLinx and Salesforce (do not append it with your password)

Note: sometimes the security token may not be needed to log in to the Salesforce org, and it depends on each org's security setup. In this case leave the security token field empty.
