Troubleshooting connection issues

When you connect your organization of Salesforce to AbstraLinx, you might encounter issues that typically stem from the invalid configuration of the application.

This topic provides instructions on how to resolve a connection login issue.

When you have a Salesforce login issue, you might see the following error message: “INVALID LOGIN: invalid username, password, security token; or user locked out”

The following things to check might help you troubleshoot the connections issues:

-          Before attempting any other troubleshooting, confirm that you entered your username correctly. Note that your username is not necessarily your email address. However, it must be unique and in email format.

-          Try to enter correctly your password. Salesforce passwords are case-sensitive.

-          In the password field you have to specify just the password without concatenating it with the security token.

-          Make sure that you entered the right and the latest security token. See the “Getting security token” topic to find out how to get the security token. If you didn't find it, please try to reset the security token or contact your Salesforce administrator.

-          Note that sometimes the security token may not be needed to log in to the Salesforce org, and it depends on each org's security setup. Contact your Salesforce administrator for more information.

-          Allow list Salesforce IP address range. See these articles for more information (1, 2).

-          Check your Salesforce user login history on your Salesforce org to see if there are any error messages.

If you are using the connected app authentication method you might check the following:

-          Connected app is successfully created (it takes 2 to 10 minutes to be active)

-          The Connected App is configured correctly. Refer to this blog post to create a connected application
