Custom metadata

With Custom Metadata, you can customize, deploy, and upgrade your database metadata that you design yourself. ERBuilder integrates a functionality that allows you to create custom metadata. You can create up to 20 custom metadata on the same project (on a trial edition of ERBuilder you are limited to create three custom metadata).
To show the list of all custom metadata, navigate to the menu “Project | Custom metadata”.

Create a new custom metadata

To create a new custom metadata, go to “Project | Custom metadata” from the main menu. In the opened window, click on the “Add” button to start creating a new custom field.
Fill in the following:

• Caption: enter a name for the custom metadata;
• Type: select from the dropdown menu the data type of the new custom metadata. The types available are: text, number, checkbox, picklist, picklist (multiple values), URL;
• Visibility: choose in which objects this custom field will be visible. You can select: tables, columns, triggers, constraints, procedures, and relationships;
• Pick list values: this field will be active only if you choose “picklist” or “picklist (multiple-values) as data type. Enter the values separated by a comma or by a new line;
• Description: add a few sentences that describes the new custom metadata;
